About Us
New American Design
Founded in New York City in 2015 by Designer and Creative Director Conway C. Liao, Hudson Wilder was inspired by a chance encounter at an architect’s estate sale in Hudson, New York. The timeless objects and furniture found in her home sparked our vision: to establish ‘New American Design’ as a global cornerstone of modern living, celebrated for its enduring utility, human-centered innovation, and timeless forms.
A staple in creative homes and offices worldwide, we’re driven by the belief that thoughtful design elevates everyday living. Guided by the principle of “Less, but Better” our home and lifestyle essentials honor the environment and enhance daily rituals—contemporary classics inspired by diverse cultures, bridging past, present, and future, creating everlasting products in a world often driven by overconsumption. Mindful of our environment, we use sustainable materials and recyclable packaging whenever possible.

Less but Better
Our Design and Development philosophy is deeply rooted in honoring the ingenuity of the human mind and body as expressions of art and creativity. Guided by the principle of “Less, but Better,” we aim to create everlasting products in a world often driven by overconsumption. Our designs are a balance of timeless, bold architectural forms and materials contrasted with flowing organic lines inspired by nature.
Collaborating with a global network of skilled producers, each a specialist in their craft, ensures that every piece we create reflects the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability. We are mindful of our environment, using sustainable materials and recyclable packaging whenever possible.
We draw reference from great American artists, designers, and architects: Donald Judd, Isamu Noguchi, Agnes Martin, Mies van der Rohe, Philip Glass, Miles Davis, Mark Rothko (colour), Georgia O'Keeffe, Eero Saarinen, Sol Lewitt, Dan Flavin.
